US dumps Pak woos India

It has become obvious to everyone today even those not politically blessed that the USA has dumped Pak and found a new ally in India. In its new found vegetarianism the US has dumped the general who served them so well, and as of now Musharraf requires American permission to sneeze, but then so do some politicians who have always looked at the US as an Indian saviour.
The US vision of the world that we have inherited after world war II -- because European countries exhausted all their resourcs by converting them into projectiles and throwing this at each other -- is very much like the Roman empire and its vision of the world.
Rome was founded a republic and a democracy and the US today has all the essential prerequsites needed to prove to the world that it is a democracy and a republic. Unfortunately US foreign policy favours only dictatorships and benevolent monarchies which make it easy for the the USA to control such countries as it is easy to influence one person rather than a complete hierarchy of persons.
In this situation the US favouring India is indeed a unique situation for what we have here is a genuine democracy just about to cross into the era where private corporations will begin to dictate terms to government and parties in power. In such a situation US controlled companies will guide government decisions.
But why does the US dump its allies? It is simple for the answer lies in hstory. The Roman empire was big but it was weak too. At times a strong general was needed to defend its interests. Such strong generals would be sent to the front to fight the barbarians and keep them at bay. But when they returned victorious they would be disgraced or accused of treason or worse assasinated.
The US too has a history of disgracing heroes. Take the case of World War II, while England decorated Montgomery for winning the war, the man who actually won the war for the Allies, General Patton was sent into oblivion.
Indian polticans need to be very careful today. At the close of the year it has become obvious the first half of 2008 may see a Fresh election for the Indian Parliament. There will no doubt be candidates and parties which will be backed by US interest. There will however be some who will have India's interests at heart.
Today a look at Pakistan is frightening petrol there costs Rs 65 or a dollar half a litre. Mutton is Rs 280 a kg twice the price it is in India. After the elections it is feared there shall be a similar price rise in India too.
Those who inherit government in 2008 may be in for a trying time to say the least. But the further they stay away from the USA the better for them.
