Tower of Babel and MCD

May 17th 2010 17:00
In the year 2012 the world of telecommunication came to an end in India. This is how it happened. The biggest telecom companies formed a conglomerate of their own to expand and capture the business as liberalization had put an end to the MRTP Act. There was Idea, there was BSNL, there was Airtel there was Rel and so on, so they formed a new company to take over everything and called BAB TEL.
The company was soon headed for seventh heaven with its virtual monopoly over the business. The competition was all but wiped out, pretty soon it was omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent. Then came disaster.

The Company ran into trouble with the sealing god having reached the ceiling of its limit in terms of height and growth, the EMCEEDEE authority in India.
One by on its towers collapsed in front of the EMCEEDEE. Soon the BAB TEL Empire was about to end but before the last cellphone blinked out with the towers of Babtel being destroyed the customers realized something. The Guy at the other end of the line neither spoke their language nor could dial their number as the smart phone took care of everything. If A spoke in Mexican and B understood English the phone took care to communicate what A said to B in English and what B replied to A in Mexican.
With the towers down all bedlam was unleashed on the world. People did not even know where they were and were literally groping in the dark in the absence of GeePeeResS.
With the towers of Babtel sealed the world of telecommunication came to an end and civlisation as we knew it collapsed in 2012. The Mayans had predicted that this would happen, in fact their very own cellphones had given way when their Babtel Pyramids were sealed. They had lost the ability to communicate, that which sets men apart from the beasts and their civilization too had fallen. They had seen another such sealing take place. Which is why they had decided to rename their new cellphone operations as Babel Services National Limited or BSNL.
