Lucknow Masterplan 2021 full of bloomers

When it comes to the Master Plan 2021 the Lucknow Development Authority has literally taken the cake, in short LDA officials have gone plain nuts. There is no logic in the manner in which the Master Plan has been drawn up and for that matter no logic in How LDA functions.
For example Lda has designated certain activities that can be deemed commercial and can be carried out in residential areas. The two things are a contradiction in terms but there is where lies the catch. LDA has sought to blindly do favours to certain lobbies to keep them quiet. For one thing a personal office can be permitted in a residential area, this makes sense, but at the same time you cant set up the same business in another persons house. For example housewife A decides to set up her own unit manufacture papads she can do so, but if she takes the neighbours house on rent to do so she cant.
LDA has viciously targeted gyms and fitness centres in Lucknow. The same resident s feel is a necessary activity in a residential area. Says P C Seth a retired govt offical, if the gym is not within walking distance where will I go at my age? To the Indistrial area???
Then there is another bloomer. A printing press which is a highly polluting and waste generating activity is allowed but a nursing home is not. Whoops How can you be sooo callous. I suppose a priting press is needed to print the obituary of a residential area resident who died for need of medical attention.
Today every doctor, every fitness centre like Golds, Slim Line, Health Zone etc have been served notices by LDA to pack up or face the executioner. They will all get a fitting epitaph in the press.
The Lucknow Master Plan neither caters to the needs of the residents of Lucknow nor does it look at the weaknesses in Lucknow’s infrastructure. It focuses on things like providing facilities for cars, not residents. So is Lucknow going to be a city for cars and bureaucrats only or will the residents and their needs be included in the master plan???
