Ban Pati Patni aur woh show

Ban Pati Patni or voh show. NDTV Imagine’s Pati Patni aur voh show should be banned for two reasons. One it gives small town Indian audiences the wrong message that live in relationships are fine. Secondly it amounts to downright cruelty to the children who have been separated from their parents to provide cheap TRP for NDTV Imagine.
The worst possible case is that of Rakhi Sawant who’s comment Mujhe Aisay baccha diya hai jo sota hee nahi hai --- they have given me a child who does not sleep is an insult to all Indian mothers.
Indian parents have been known to do too much for their children, they will starve but ensure that their child gets the best education, the best spouse and the best job possible, they will skip meals to pay exorbitant coaching fees and travel long distances to settle their kids in a campus hostel of a renowned college far away from their home, they will look forward to his or her bimonthly visits and shower gifts and affection on them.
These are Indian parents as opposed to parents in the west who ask their kids to leave home after they are 18 and fend for themselves.
So is NDTV trying to promote a culture of selfish parents and selfish kids in India? Is this the new India they want us to embrace? An India, where family values crumble before consumerist passions and career advancement opportunities?
I would strongly recommend that shows like Pati Patni aur Voh are banned and not allowed to promote a western culture that threatens to erode our own.
